The Milkround School Leavers Careers Fair

Monday, February 29, 2016 12:00 PM

Milkround School Leavers held its first event of 2016 earlier this month; a two day event that welcomed more than 900 students to attend. Some of the UK’s top school leaver employers were there including Crowe Clark Whitehill, Bank of England, National Audit Office, and IBM along with university advice sources.

The day featured presentations from companies like Smith and Williamson and KPMG, who spoke on topics like what skills employers find attractive, what schemes their own companies offer to school leavers, and how to get hired at their respective companies.

There was also a CV workshop which was very popular over both days. As more and more students and school leavers are realising the importance of having a well-done and professional-looking CV when they are embarking on their job hunt, having professionals looking over your CV and ensuring it is up to standard is very beneficial.

Milkround School Leavers is a recruitment expert specifically targeted at school and college leavers aged 16-18 and their journey into a career. The Milkround School Leavers website offers advanced and higher apprenticeships along with entry level jobs, gap years, and school and college leaver schemes.

There is also an abundance of advice on the site ranging from tips on how to revise efficiently to how to ace your very first job interview. Milkround School Leavers holds 3 fairs every year in their impressive head office in London Bridge and invite as many young candidates as possible to get first hand interaction with potential employers along with the opportunity to find out how to start crafting their career.
